This intense workshop will introduce, develop and enhance skills that will help conquer any creative challenge. Participants will spend a half-day with master lettering artist Ken Barber and a half-day with master screen printer David Dodde.

Held in the embedded classroom of our A Type of Learning exhibition, Ken’s session will provide an introduction to hand-lettering as well as trademark House Industries tips, tricks and lettering recipes. Participants will hone their drawing skills as they create one-of-a-kind wordmarks by referencing various techniques, tools and templates.

House Industries screen printing virtuoso David Dodde will share his three decades of screen printing experience and expertise derived from bringing ridiculous House Industries ideas to life. Participants will explore innovative techniques and subtleties of the perfect pull.

All workshop participants will receive free admission to the the formal opening party of our A Type of Learning exhibition featuring live music by the Mattson 2, a copy of our new book The Process is the Inspiration, and a ticket to the House Industries lecture introducing the exhibition.
